Events

Events can be viewed on the PlzMayI by either accessing the Events Page for each Network Group or by launching the Event Viewer

Events are displayed in chronological order.  Users can acknowledge individual Events on either the Events pages or the Events Viewer by clicking on the "Ack" buttons.

The text color on the Event pages and Event Viewer indicates the Severity of the Event, as selected on the corresponding Action Page.  Red Text indicates a Critical Event, Blue Text indicates a Major Event, and Black Text indicates a Minor Event.

Both the Events pages and the Events Viewer are automatically refreshed every 45 seconds, displaying new events as they occur.  The date/time of last refresh is displayed in the upper left corner of the page for user's reference.

Admin Level Users can generate a Events Report by using the Report Generator, which can be found under the General Administration heading on the Console Page.

Detailed outage information is also available for each device using the Show Device Availability on the dropdown menu on the device gauge on the Network Performance Page.

Event Viewer

The Events Viewer displays the 10 most recent Events for all Networks Groups.

The Event Viewer will automatically launch on the User's first visit to the Console Page.  If the User closes this popup, they will need to click on the Event Viewer link on the Console Page's top banner to launch it.

The Events Viewer will launch at the bottom of the Console Page, sized to make the last 2 Events visible.  The User can then adjust the popup window to view additional Events and reposition it.

Users limited to a single Networks Group will not have access to the Events Viewer.

Events Pages

The Events Page for a Networks Group can be launched as a new web page by clicking on the Events link on the Console, Performance, or UpDown Pages.

The Event Page will show all Events for that individual Networks Group.  There is no limit set on how long Events will be stored, however Admin Level Users can purge older Events on the Database Backup & Maintenance Page, which can be found under the General Administration heading on the Console Page.

Close the Events Page when it is no longer needed.
